Zucchini Cooked in Tomato Sauce

This super simple and delicious Zucchini in Tomato Sauce recipe is perfect for weaning babies around 9 - 12 months. It starts to introduce new flavors by combining two familiar vegetables together. By combining tastes your baby is already familiar with you increase your chances for success and reduce fussiness later on. As these vegetables are so high in water content, you probably won't need to mash or puree them, they will naturally reduce down as they are cooked. By all means you can help them along with a blender or fork if your baby still prefers smoother purees, then you can gradually increase the size of the lumps as you make further portions of this later. This is an easy recipe to introduce as one of the first textured foods for your little one.
